Pulsar Apex XD50 Thermal Imaging Riflescope senses the heat of objects and turns heat signature into visible image depending on the differences in temperatures.
The Apex thermal imaging riflescopes are designed for the use on hunting rifles both during night time and day time and are perfect for all weather conditions. Fog, rain or smoke is not an obstacle for IR waves and thus thermal imagers can see in these conditions well and are not hindered to detect the target through obstacles like branches, tall grass, thick bushes etc.
Unlike the image intensifier tube based night vision riflescopes, thermal imaging sights do not require an external source of light and are not affected by bright light exposure.
